Psycho Review

"Greed Kills", maybe that is not always the case because Donald Trump is still alive but for Psycho it stands true. One of the most thrilling slasher movies of all time and directed by Albert Hitchcock who is one of the most famous directors of all time for this movie and Birds. I am not sure if it is scary or just down right creepy, everything from the main character Norman Bates carrying out a down right disgusting role to the whole demeanor of Lila Crane the female character just adds to a corrupt film (in a good way). Anthony Perkins struggled after the movie Psycho to get in any other movies because the picture he planted in every directors mind when he played Norman Bates in Psycho. I like the suspense added to this film, I thought that it made you sit on the very edge of your seat almost the whole movie. The only bad part about this movie is that the movie starts very slow and allows the mind to wonder at times. This movie also had a remake and was played by Vince Vaughn but was in color and even though Vince Vaughn played Norman Bates well he did not equal to the sickening role that Anthony Perkins played. The 1960 version also adds another dimension not seen in color with the shadowing effects and everything else that comes out in black and white. This movie was popular do to the acting jobs and the amazing mind of Albert Hitchcock. I would advice you to watch this movie just do not be surprised if at sometime in this movie you get disgusted or cringe with events that occur. Just remember even though you are in a private place and you think no can see you does not mean there is not someone actually watching. I will give you one hint before you watch this movie and that is to understand the title of this movie "Psycho" and by the end you will understand why Norman Bates is the title. This movie last roughly 1 hour and 50 minutes and I would give it one and a half thumbs up.

Catalyst: She is seen leaving town with the money.

Debate: While driving her imagination taking over about what is going to happen to her.

Break into Two: Stopping at Bates Motel.

B-Story: Marian meets Norman Bates

Fun and Games:Norman kills Marion while she is enjoying a shower.

Midpoint Takes the body and drives car into the swamp.

Bad Guys close in: Norman kills the Private Investigator

All is lost: Sam and Marion have no information about what happened to Marion.

Dark Night of the Soul: When they meet the sheriff and they explain that his mother is dead.

Break into three: They plot on how to get to Norman's house to search it.

Finale: They move forward with the plan.

Final Image: Norman sitting in the jail cell as his mother.
